HM has a large team of practical professors. The school has about 500 professors, 750 part-time lecturers and 660 administrative and scientific researchers. All professors must have at least 5 years of working experience in the industry before teaching to ensure that teaching closely meets practical needs. The school takes “transforming knowledge into skills and training learners as leaders” as its educational philosophy. Students’ evaluation of the school has a strong atmosphere of “personal contact”-“Here, you are not a student number, but a person who can feel a sense of belonging”. Gymnasium and Fitness Facilities: 600+ Project of Munich University Sports Union
HM itself does not set up independent sports events, but provides rich sports activities for all students through the Sports Center (ZHS) of Munich Central University. ZHS offers about 600 physical education courses each semester, covering ball games and games, mountains and rock climbing, fitness and health, martial arts, dance, fashion and leisure sports, gymnastics and track and field, water sports and winter sports. ZHS also supports competitive students to participate in German and international university tournaments. In addition, the school is located in the center of Munich, an international metropolis known as “the safest city in Germany” and one of the cities with the highest quality of life in the world, which provides students with rich culture and leisure life.
Student associations and campus activities: an international and dynamic community
HM has an active and diverse student community ecology. International Club (I-Club) is the most distinctive student organization on campus, which is run by students from different departments and institutes, and builds a cross-cultural communication platform for international students and local students.
I-Club organizes “Stammtisch” parties every week and holds cross-cultural social activities in different bars. Summer activities include rafting, visit to Allianz Stadium, hiking in zugspitze, the highest peak in Germany, and river drop. In winter, there are Bavarian brunch, skating, Neuschwanstein Castle tour and Christmas market. Every semester, we also organize a 2-3-day weekend trip to Yamagoya in the Alps. In addition, there are Potluck dinner (students from all over the world bring their own hometown food to share), rock climbing with bouldering, baking cookies, games and karaoke nights. All international students automatically become members of the club, and most of the activities are borne by the school.
