SCAD’s most renowned traditional events are the annual spring Sidewalk Arts and Sand Arts festivals.
Sidewalk Arts takes place in Savannah’s historic Forsyth Park, where faculty, students, and alumni use chalk to transform the sidewalks into vibrant works of art; Sand Arts unfolds on the beaches of Tybee Island, presenting “land art” in the form of sand sculptures. In addition, events such as the SCAD AnimationFest, the Savannah Film Festival, and the “Far from Home” International Student Art Exhibition foster a year-round creative ecosystem.

According to the latest 2025 study, 99% of SCAD graduates secure employment, pursue further education, or do both within 12 months of graduation.
