The UM Library ranks among the top research libraries in North America and is the youngest member of the top 50 research libraries in North America. As of 2024, the library system’s collection totals 4.35 million items, including 1.61 million e-books, 165,000 active journal titles, and resources in 300 languages. The library system is distributed across three main campuses: the Coral Island Main Campus, the Rosenstiel School of Marine Sciences, and the School of Medicine. The collection includes valuable resources such as the Cuban Heritage Special Collection, the Rare Books Collection, and the University Archives. In fiscal year 2024, e-book downloads reached 1.96 million, and journal article downloads reached 785,000.
