
Teaching mode and dual system training
The advantage of Fulda Universities of Applied Sciences’s hardcore lies in its “applied technology” gene. The school offers more than 14 dual majors, and students regularly alternate between college theoretical study and enterprise practice training. Take the dual-system undergraduate course of business administration as an example. Students rotate their study places every three months within six semesters-alternating between universities and enterprises. When they graduate, they not only get a bachelor’s degree, but also accumulate valuable practical experience in the workplace. In terms of class size, there are 2-4 classes every day (9:00-17:00), with an average class size of 20-35, to ensure full interactive learning. School-enterprise cooperation and internship opportunities
The school has established practical partnerships with more than 300 enterprises, with more than 1,000 dual-system students. The cooperative enterprise covers logistics, retail, manufacturing and other industries. Following the successful cooperation with GLS and REWE, it signed a strategic cooperation agreement with DPD Germany in April 2026, adding up to seven dual-system study places. Students majoring in mechatronics cooperate with EDAG Production Solutions to develop innovative solutions for the electric drive industry within 12 weeks. The school regularly holds job fairs, and enterprises can post information on internships, student workers and graduates free of charge at the school job portal.
Employment rate and career development support
This model of “learning while practicing” has achieved remarkable results-according to the data of German Employers Association in 2024, the average starting salary of Fulda graduates is 12% higher than that of traditional comprehensive universities. Graduates majoring in electrical engineering and information technology are favored in many industries, with stable career prospects and generous salaries. The school’s International Career Service provides all-round support for international students in career orientation, career planning, application strategy, application materials review, interview preparation, internship and job hunting. Scholarship types and coverage
Fulda Universities of Applied Sciences provides diversified scholarship support for outstanding students. The Deutschlandstipendium grants 300 euros a month, half of which is borne by the federal government and the other half is provided by private sponsors. Students of all nationalities can apply for funding for at least two semesters. The school also has QSL scholarships for students with an average GPA of not less than 2.5 from the third semester to the first semester. In addition, there are regular scholarships of 300 euros per month for two semesters, and eight incentive scholarships of 500 euros each. The application period is usually from June 1st to August 1st.
Campus sports and fitness facilities
The university sports events in Universities of Applied Sciences, Fulda have made great achievements-it won the first place in the University Rankings of the German University Sports Federation (adh) in 2025. The school offers a wealth of physical education courses and activities: “Bike Term” is held every semester to advocate cycling, health and climate protection; Mini table tennis, ladder golf and other sports are provided in front of the canteen every Thursday at lunch time. Students can also find like-minded sports partners through the sports partner exchange platform. College physical education is open to all members, offering both leisure and competitive sports options.
