BGSU offers more than 200 degree programs at the undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels through eight colleges. In addition, BGSU has the largest single-campus teacher education program in Ohio. The popular culture program is one of the first and largest in the nation. BGSU was also the first university in the nation to offer doctoral programs in photochemical sciences and applied philosophy, and pioneered the nation’s first “AI+X” customizable undergraduate degree, which combines a core education in artificial intelligence with a second discipline.

International Rankings and National Recognition

In international rankings, BGSU is ranked 1001-1200th in the world in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings. Career Prospects: Highly Employable and Rewarding

Employment statistics for BGSU graduates are impressive, with an overall employment rate of 91 percent. Nearly 100 percent of graduates in the Nursing and Medical Laboratory Science programs are employed or pursuing further education within six months. Of the College of Business Class of 2024 graduates, 98.2 percent were employed within three months of graduation.
