Sacred Heart University has five campuses in Italy: Milan, Rome, Brescia, Piacenza and Cremona. The University of the Sacred Heart is a solid performer in international rankings. In the QS World University Rankings 2026, it was ranked 409th in the world, a jump of 33 places from the previous year and the best result in the last eleven years. It was ranked 251-300th in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026 and 331st in the U.S. News World’s Best Universities.
Particularly impressive is its employer reputation – in the QS Employer Reputation Index, Sacred Heart University is ranked 5th in Italy and 370th worldwide. In the 2026 QS World University Rankings by Subject, Sacred Heart University has three subjects in the world’s top 100: Classics and Ancient History, Theology and Religious Studies, and Nursing. In the 101-150 rankings range, Sacred Heart University maintains steady dominance in Communication and Media Studies, Modern Languages, Law, and Psychology. Additionally, Medicine is ranked 143rd in the world, with Anatomy & Physiology in the 101-20 range.
In the Soft Sciences (ARWU) Academic Ranking of World Universities, Sacred Heart University is ranked 401-500th in the world, with Food Science and Technology ranked 51st-75th in the world and Clinical Medicine ranked 101150th.
Employment Prospects: 96% Employment Rate and Top 5 Reputation in Italy
The employment performance of Sacred Heart University graduates is outstanding. According to the latest data, the employment rate of Sacred Heart University graduates from the School of Banking, Finance and Insurance one year after graduation rises from 84.2% in 2020 to 96.1% in 2025. Sacred Heart University’s graduates have consistently ranked among the top five Italian universities in terms of corporate reputation and employment rate. In addition, the university offers 6,900 internships per year, providing an excellent transition from the classroom to the workplace.

Sacred Heart University currently has 3,314 international degree-seeking students from 126 countries and territories around the world.
